Day 1
You have arrived in the country of Bangladesh, however you need somewhere to stay. May I suggest you visit the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, first. This is a larger city and will be an easier transition to Bangladesh.
A hotel I recommend is the Westin Dhaka Hotel. You can check it out on tripadvisor here:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293936-d628632-Reviews-Westin_Dhaka-Dhaka_City_Dhaka_Division.html
The prices are fair and the reviews are good.
While you are in Dhaka, I believe a place to visit would be The National Memorial. Look Here for more info:

A restaurant you should try out is Nandos Restaurant. This restaurant is supposedly very nice for families in Bangladesh with children. The link is here:

Day 2-
I would think staying at the same hotel for your 2 days in Dhaka would be easier, so I would plan to stay another night in the Westin Dhaka hotel I mentioned above. A good place to visit would be the Ahsan
Manzil, also in Dhaka. Information on this attraction can be found here:
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g293936-d2615646-Reviews-Ahsan_Manzil-Dhaka_City_Dhaka_Division.html
