Here is a little History to start you off:
- The tribe called the Bang first inhabited Bangladesh in 1000 B.C.
- In 200 B.C. Bangladesh became part of the Mauryan Empire
- When the Empire broke apart kings ruled Bangladesh
- In the 700's Buddhist rulers took power in Bangladesh (the culture spread)
- Hindi rulers ruled 300 years later
-Late 1100's: Muslims came from central Asia and invaded
-Government in Delhi, India expanded into Bangladesh [a sultanate government (ruled by kings)]
- New government ruled until Mughal Emperor Akbar (Muslim Emperor) conquered region
-Later, Bangladesh became part of Pakistan (called East Pakistan) and was separated from West Pakistan
-East Pakistan and West Pakistan had very little in common (both practiced same religion but that's about all)
-East Pakistan stayed with Pakistan until 1971

-Troops in Bangladesh overpowered West Pakistan and West Pakistan surrendered
-Bangladesh soon after became it's own country
